Model Jun Hasegawa appears in the first installment of 2016 for the "DIY Project," an online campaign launched by rag & bone's denim line, rag & bone/JEAN.
The project, which began in 2011, gives models a camera and a bag containing their clothes, allowing them to act as creative directors, self-producing and creating their own work, from hair and makeup to styling. Previous models who have participated include Miranda Kerr, Karolina Kurkova, Camille Rowe, Caroline Murphy, and Jourdan Dunn, revealing a glimpse of their natural selves that are rarely seen.
Hasegawa, who appears in this latest installment, has now relocated to her hometown of Hawaii. The photos were taken in Hasegawa's hometown by her friend, photographer Yuji Takeuchi. In the photos, Hasegawa is seen running around barefoot in the Hawaiian wilderness, seemingly transported back to her childhood.

Hasegawa wore the "Crop Straight Leg (Belgrave)" (29,000 yen), "Tomboy (Sunderland)" (27,000 yen), "Barcelona Tunic (Black)" (31,000 yen), and "Jean Jacket (Worn Blue)" (39,000 yen). Hasegawa commented, "I thought that shooting in a place I could call home would be the best way to express my true self."
