Isetan Shinjuku is hosting "Chocolat Isetanation," a chocolate culture event until February 1st. During the same period, Beauty Apothecary, located on the second basement floor of the main building and offering natural cosmetics and food from over 100 countries, will also be holding a "Beauty and Health x Chocolate & Sweets" collaboration event. Pastry chefs and chocolatiers from popular natural food stores will be selling special sweets made with superfoods exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku. The event will feature healthy sweets made with superfoods from Sunfood Superfoods. Superfoods are naturally occurring foods that are rich in nutrients and well-balanced. In addition to the booming acai, maca, chia seeds, and coconut oil, cacao, commonly used in chocolate, is also considered a superfood. Four brands are promoting superfoods. Akasaka's La Table Prim will be offering raw sweets utilizing its French pastry experience. In addition to the richly sweet "Raw Gateau Chocolat" (3,750 yen), raw sweets packed with fruits such as rum raisins, raspberries, and kiwi will also be available. All of these healthy treats are made without any additives, eggs, dairy products, flour, or refined sugar.
Also, Cacao Magic has created "Three Superfood Tablets" (1,200 yen each) that combine raw chocolate with superfoods. The "raw" in raw chocolate stands for raw. Raw food refers to food cooked at 48 degrees or below, which preserves nutrients and enzymes. This delicious and unique diet, originally based in Los Angeles, has now gained fans worldwide.
Vegan sweets brand Daughter Butec has created "Brownies" (1,200 yen) and "Cookies" (1,500 yen) using Sunfood superfoods as ingredients. Furthermore, Reward, known for its gently sweet treats, has also created "Reward." will be offering brown rice sables (1,500 yen excluding tax) made with olives and salt. This cookie has a rich, salty flavor that is sure to impress, making it a recommended item even for those without a sweet tooth. All four brands will be collaborating with superfoods to create sweet treats that are unique to their brand. A person in charge of the project expressed their enthusiasm, saying, "Through this project, we hope that people will be able to easily experience superfoods with professional flavors."
