Pitti begins when the New Year's pine trees are harvested.

This year, PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO, the world's largest men's fashion trade fair, is being held in Florence, Italy, from January 7th to 10th.
Since I'm in Japan, I'll be reporting on this via LINE from an Isetan buyer who flew to the event.
The theme of the 85th Pitti was "Rock me Pitti." The venue was decorated with musical décor, including guitar picks and speakers. Apparently, there was even live music.
Inside the venue, each brand had a booth full of items from their 2014-15 Autumn/Winter collections, but the items that particularly caught the buyer's eye were the softly textured "check" items. The "L.B.M 1911" jacket also left a strong impression with its blurred check pattern.
Check patterns can be worn not only as innerwear but also as outerwear, so be sure to check them out...lol.
