Isetan Shinjuku launched "LONDON WAVE," an event showcasing the 2014 Spring/Summer collections of designers based at London Fashion Week, on January 8th at The Stage #3 on the 3rd floor of the main building. The event will run until the 14th.
London Fashion Week is known for its many creators who present experimental and cutting-edge collections. For this project, collections by eight London-based designers have been selected from three areas on the 3rd floor of the building.
Four brands from the International Creators category are on display: J.W. Anderson, who has been appointed designer for LOEWE; Mary Katrantzou, designer for Moncler M; Mother of Pearl; and Sophie Hulmé.
The four international designer brands are Christopher Kane, Erdem, Peter Pilotto, and Antipodium. Peter Pilotto is a young brand that started in the 2012-13 autumn/winter season, but its unique prints have built up a loyal fan base, with customers who are quick to purchase dresses costing over 200,000 yen. The lineup includes a skirt made of organza with delicate embroidery (397,950 yen).
"This time, we've gathered promising, up-and-coming brands from a London perspective. We want to create a space where you can coordinate brands you've never come across with your own favorites. We want people to enjoy it as if they were shopping at a select shop," says the assistant buyer in charge.
