To commemorate the success of Shohei Ohtani, with whom Descente Japan Co., Ltd. has an advisory contract, Descente will begin accepting applications for a lottery sale on December 10th for the limited edition "MIZUSAWA DOWN FOR SHOHEI OHTANI" model of the Mizusawa Down line. Only 46 pieces will be produced at the Descente Apparel Mizusawa Factory in Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture, where Ohtani is originally from.
Each item will be serially numbered from 1 to 46, with the number 17, Shohei Ohtani's jersey number, being presented to Ohtani himself. A special movie featuring interviews with Ohtani about the event, his hometown of Mizusawa, and stories surrounding his "46" home run will be released on the official Descente YouTube channel.

The newly released "MIZUSAWA DOWN FOR SHOHEI OHTANI" is a special edition based on the "ANCHOR" model of Mizusawa Down, a high-performance down jacket created by the proud craftsmen of Descente. In honor of Ohtani's 46 home runs this season, this limited-edition down jacket features Ohtani's handwritten "two-sword" logo printed in gold on the red lining. The words "SHOHEI OHTANI SPECIAL EDITION" and a serial number are printed under the brand name on the back, and Ohtani's uniform number "17" is embossed on the right sleeve.
