Hublot has unveiled its second collaboration with Takashi Murakami: the Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami Sapphire Rainbow. This new timepiece transforms flowers, an iconic theme in Murakami's work, into a whirlwind of transparency and color.

The "Flower" sports a playful smile on its three-dimensional face that appears to emerge from the dial, surrounded by 12 colorful petals. This vibrant hue is achieved by setting 487 stones in the colors of the rainbow, including rubies, pink sapphires, amethysts, blue sapphires, tsavorites, yellow sapphires and orange sapphires. A ball-bearing system specially developed by Hublot engineers allows the petals to rotate beneath the sapphire crystal, bringing Takashi Murakami's "Flower" to life.
At the heart of this watch is a movement developed by Nyon watchmakers: the caliber HUB1214, without the stopwatch function. The movement has a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. The Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami Sapphire Rainbow, which has captivated those involved in contemporary art, is limited to 100 pieces worldwide.
