Let's go see the "real" dresses that appear in the movie "Met Gala: The Museum of Dresses"!

Apr 6, 2017

To celebrate the release of the documentary film "Met Gala: A Museum of Dresses," which takes an inside look at the Met Gala, the "Oscars of the fashion world" hosted by Anna Wintour, the Kobe Fashion Museum will be hosting a basic exhibition (theme: "Dream Evening Dresses") from April 15th to June 25th.

The exhibition will feature evening dresses related to the fashion houses of the world's most prestigious designers that appear in the film, as well as a chronological look at the museum's collection, spanning the history of Western fashion from the 18th century to the present.

In addition, the library on the museum's third floor features a collection of approximately 40,000 fashion-related books from Japan and abroad, as well as fashion magazines dating back to the early 20th century, fashion shows, and art documentaries.
