Stella Jean, a young designer garnering attention as part of the "Italian New Wave," presented her 2014-15 Autumn/Winter collection at Pitti Immagine Uomo.

In 2011, Stella Jean was selected for "Who's On Next," a competition that serves as a gateway for emerging Milan designers. As part of Giorgio Armani's support program for young designers, she presented her women's 2014 Spring/Summer collection in Milan in September 2013. This time, a men's show was held as part of a special Pitti Uomo program.

The collection, themed "wax and stripes," strongly highlighted the designer's roots as a former model born in Rome and whose mother is from Haiti, and is Italian-Haitian. The collection, which incorporates various concepts such as colonial culture and British gentleman culture, prints and stripes, strongly emphasizes a new generational fusion of Italian sartorial techniques. This season, African batik and various checks are styled in a pattern-by-pattern combination with traditional items such as duffle coats, chester coats, pea coats, and gown-style wrap jackets, based on the seasonal theme of "THE GENTLEMEN'S CLUB." The story is reminiscent of the early '80s, when London's New Wave was leading the fashion scene, with acts like Blue Rondo A La Turk, DEMOB, and SLITS, and is thorough even down to the colonial-style room set up on the stage.
