"Tokyo Flea Market" to be held at Keiokaku in May, featuring markets for "Scandinavian" and "small plates and chopstick rests"

Apr 8, 2017

The 11th Tokyo Flea Market, sponsored by Tegamisha, will be held at the Tokyo Oval Keiokaku on Tokyo's Tama River for two days, May 13th and 14th.
The "Flea Market Project," launched in May 2012, aims to recreate the atmosphere of flea markets that blend into European cityscapes. This year, approximately 200 vendors will be participating, including a market selling antiques, antique furniture, used books, and vintage clothing from shops across the country, food booths, and a flower market. In addition, workshops, street performances, and live music are planned, combining shopping and entertainment.
In 2016, the "Tokyo Flea Market" toured the Tokai, Tokyo, and Kansai regions for three consecutive months, boosting its national recognition. In addition, the "Tokyo Nordic Market," a market where you can experience Nordic culture, and the "Tokyo Small Plate Market," which brings together small plates for the third time, will now also be held at the same venue on the same day, with a "chopstick rest market" being added.
