Swiss luxury mechanical watch brand Franck Muller introduces a new watch in its "Pastille" collection, symbolizing eternal time, adding the pale hue of a baby blue sapphire.

This new watch, which brightens up the holiday season with the translucent color of a baby blue sapphire placed at the center of the dial, combines the design of Franck Muller's masterpiece watch, "Pastille," with the glamorous and elegant case form of the Long Island, inspired by the Art Deco style of the 1920s and 1930s. The lush case curves that fit perfectly on the Long Island's wrist and the vibrant curves of the Byzantine numerals are combined with a circular design, creating a beautiful curve that symbolizes the never-ending flow of time. Shortly after the brand's founding, in 1994, Franck Muller expressed the beauty of curves with the "Double Pastille," a design comprised of two overlapping circles, and has since incorporated this design into numerous women's watches. The "Pastille" was born in 1996, retaining the refined design of the "Double Pastille" while simplifying the circle by stripping it down to a single one. "Pastille" is the French word for polka dot pattern. The elegant curves of the case, a Franck Muller signature, combined with the curves of the circle in the center of the dial evoke the eternal, uninterrupted flow of time. In 2021, a new version of the "Pastille" was released, further evolving the watch and incorporating the color of sapphire. The addition of baby blue to the "Pastille," beloved as a luxurious jewelry watch, embodies Franck Muller's philosophy of time on "happy times," which states, "Happy times filled with smiles should be vibrant and filled with color." The new Long Island Petite Pastille comes in two case variations: an 18KPG case and a stainless steel case with the added glamour of 18KPG.
