Issey Miyake Parfum introduces two summer fragrances that will take you to the blue ocean

Apr 10, 2017

Issey Miyake Parfum will begin selling its limited-edition summer fragrance, "L'Eau d'Issey Summer Fragrance," on May 17th.
Since 1995, Issey Miyake Parfum has been inviting different guest artists to create new packaging every year, and for 2017, the guest was world-renowned French typographer Philippe Apeloig. To express the refreshing freshness of the summer fragrance, the iconic bottle silhouette was transformed into a shining yellow sun, which was used as the lettering on the packaging. The image resembles the white sails of a yacht sailing across a blue ocean.
The summer scent was created by Alberto Morillas, perfumer at Firmenich. L'EAU D'ISSEY Summer Eau de Toilette (100ml/8,800 yen) has a bright and feminine fruity floral fragrance, with top notes of lychee and tart grapefruit, and a middle note that blends the freshness of passion fruit and the sparkling scent of guava. The rounded woody notes blend with vanilla, gradually creating a warm fragrance that feels like being enveloped in sunlight. Meanwhile, L'EAU D'ISSEY Pour Homme Summer Eau de Toilette (125ml/8,300 yen) has a spicy woody fruit scent, with top notes of slightly bitter grapefruit and aromatic coriander, overflowing with fresh kiwi, middle notes of nutmeg and pineapple, and finally, powerful woody notes of petiver and cypress, adding depth and harmony to the fragrance.

The products will go on sale at Issey Miyake directly managed stores and department stores that carry them on May 17th, and will also be available at Bluebell Japan directly managed stores from June 1st.
