Actor Robert Pattinson was born on May 13, 1986, in London, England. He began his career as a model and actor at a young age, making his debut in 2004 as Giselhelm in the television series Der Ring des Nibelungen. He then played Cedric Diggory, Harry's senior at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007). He achieved worldwide fame as an actor when he played Edward Cullen, the love interest of Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan, in the 2008 blockbuster film Twilight. He also sang the song "Never Think" in the film. He has since played Edward in every Twilight film.

He also starred in David Cronenberg's latest film, Cosmopolis, which received rave reviews at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The film was released in Japan last month.

Robert has appeared in a string of hit films. His wealth has also attracted attention, as seen in his ranking of 9th in the "Highest-earning Celebrities Under 30" list published by the American financial newspaper Forbes in 2011. It has also been reported that last year he signed a high-paying contract with Dior as an advertising model.
