
British actress Carey Mulligan was born on May 28, 1985.
In 2005, she made her film debut in Pride and Prejudice, starring Keira Knightley. Her next role in 2009, An Education, received critical acclaim and was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She went on to win Best Actress at the British Independent Film Awards, the National Board of Review, and the BAFTA Awards, garnering attention as a talented young actress.
In 2012, she married Marcus Mumford, lead singer of the folk band Mumford & Sons. In "The Great Gatsby," which recently opened the 66th Cannes Film Festival, she plays Daisy, the ex-girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio's character Gatsby. She's also been making waves for wearing lavish outfits, including Prada dresses and Tiffany & Co. jewelry. The film is set for release on June 14th. Chinatsu Wakatsuki, also a model and fashion designer, was born in 1984. She was scouted at Shibuya 109 at the age of 17 and made her debut, quickly becoming famous as a gravure idol. She subsequently expanded her horizons, appearing on variety shows and magazine covers as a fashion model. Her blog, "Mapo Tofu is a Drink," became so popular that it was the first to be inducted into Ameblo's Hall of Fame.
He started his own brand, "wc (Double C)" in 2009. When his first shop, "wc Shibuya Center Street Store," opened in Shibuya in October 2011, long queues formed. In October 2012, he officially participated in Tokyo Collection and held a runway show. Novelty items handed out at the venue on the day became a hot topic, with some selling for high prices in online auctions.
He has now stepped down as the brand's exclusive designer and is involved as a creative advisor.
