The first winter sportswear made from recycled materials will be available for pre-sale from November 12th at Emporio Armani Ginza and Sapporo stores.

Emporio Armani EA7 is the sports line brand of Emporio Armani, known for providing uniforms to various international and famous sports teams, including the official suits of the Italian soccer team. The "7" in EA7 represents seven sports: basketball, tennis, golf, water sports, winter sports, outdoor activities, and training. This collection is a special one related to winter sports, which is one of the meanings of the number "7."

The collection being released this time is centered around items with excellent waterproof properties, and includes outerwear and pants with ribbing on the inside to prevent snow from entering through the cuffs and hems, as well as snowsuits, vests, and thinly padded tops, making them ideal not only for winter sports but also as town wear in the dead of winter. 69 items will be available for men.

The items in the collection also feature two distinctive recycled functional materials. The first is ARDOR7 RECYCLED, used in the padding. This is an alternative insulation to down, made from an innovative blend of polyester microfibers. It is a revolutionary alternative to natural down, providing maximum comfort by injecting very short, lightweight microfibers between two layers of fabric. The other functional material is STRATUM7 RECYCLED, which uses special microfibers made from recycled PET bottles. The greatest feature of this material is its excellent thermoregulation properties. The microfibers are pressed to form a "thermal shield" between the outside of the body. The surface of this shield expands, allowing moisture to be removed from the body.

Both ARDOR7 RECYCLED and STRATUM7 RECYCLED materials are certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), which meets environmental and social criteria that apply to all stages of the production chain using recycled materials and promotes products made from recycled materials.
