Model Kiko Mizuhara appeared as a model at the Olympia Le-Tan 2014 Spring/Summer show held at Paris Fashion Week on September 26th, marking her Paris Fashion Week debut. Mizuhara appeared midway through the show, which unfolded at a nighttime aquarium, wearing a sexy rubber jacket and pants inspired by a sailor's uniform and carrying a fish-shaped bag. With hair and makeup reminiscent of a 1950s pin-up girl, she walked the catwalk with a smile, drawing cheers from fellow Japanese models in the audience. "I was surprised when I got the offer, but I enjoyed it. I love everything about Olympia Le-Tan: its dreamy, cute, and classic style," Mizuhara commented after the show. Olympia Le-Tan, who also works as a DJ, founded her brand in 2009, where her book-shaped bags with embroidered felt became popular. She made her debut at the Paris Collection in October last year, and was selected as a finalist for the ANDAM Fashion Award this year, an award for emerging designers. All of the bags are produced in limited quantities and come with serial numbers, and some customers are on a waiting list at select shops in Japan.
