A limited-time shop celebrating the 10th anniversary of the musical "The Prince of Tennis" (commonly known as "Tenimyu") opened on October 9th in the TOKYO Kaihoku (Liberation Zone) on the second floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku. It will run until the 15th. The shop features a first-of-its-kind collaboration with the fashion brand "Beautiful People," as well as original collaboration goods featuring the colors of each school, including Seigaku, the school where protagonist Echizen Ryoma attends. It also features an exhibition and sale of panels featuring stage photos from the "The Prince of Tennis Musical National Tournament: Seigaku vs. Hyoutei." The venue is decorated with visuals linking each character and cast member, expressing the world of Tenimyu. Panels signed by each cast member and a 10-year history of the musical are also on display. Tenimyu fans flocked to the shop as soon as it opened on the first day. Fans were seen enjoying the 10th anniversary event, taking photos of the character and cast display panels and buying collaboration merchandise in bulk. This was the first collaboration between Beautiful People and the series, and original hoodies were available, but they sold out on the first day. A variety of original merchandise exclusive to this event was also available, including tote bags featuring the school emblems of Seigaku, Hyotei, Rikkai, and Higa, as well as bottle cases, clutch bags, and photo stands. Each item is available for pre-order, with photo stands scheduled for delivery in mid-November and other items scheduled for delivery in early December (some items may be sold out). The musical "The Prince of Tennis," commonly known as "Tenimyu," is a stage adaptation of the manga "The Prince of Tennis" (commonly known as "Tenipuri"), which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha). It debuted in the spring of 2003, with the second season beginning in 2010. This year, 2013, marks the 10th anniversary of the musical. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Tenimyu, and in addition to the limited-time shop, various other projects are underway. To date, the number of performances has exceeded 1,000, with a cumulative audience of over 1.6 million.
