Fashion model Kiko Mizuhara was born on October 15, 1990, in Dallas, Texas. Her father is half American and her mother is half Korean. Her younger sister, Yuka Mizuhara, is also a model. She moved to Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, at the age of one, where she grew up. In 2003, she was selected as Miss Seventeen at a modeling audition for fashion magazine Seventeen and debuted as an exclusive model. She worked for the magazine for three years. She was an exclusive model for ViVi from 2007 and for beauty magazine Maquia from 2010. At the age of 18, she spent two weeks in Paris, France, with the goal of working abroad. However, due to her short stature, she struggled to secure the work she wanted. After returning to Japan, she began her acting career, appearing in the films Norwegian Wood in 2009 and Helter Skelter in 2012.
Currently, she is invited as a guest celebrity to collections not only in Japan but also overseas. She appeared as a model in "THE LITTLE BLACK JACKET," a photo exhibition created by Karl Lagerfeld of CHANEL. She was also invited by LOUIS VUITTON to the "Marc Jacobs x LOUIS VUITTON" exhibition in Paris. In Japan, she appeared as a guest celebrity at Michael Kors' US Embassy party.
She made her Paris Fashion Week debut as a model in the Olympia Le Tan 14 Spring/Summer show held at Paris Fashion Week on September 26th.
