Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer has announced the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Ayrton Senna Special Edition in honor of motor racing legend Ayrton Senna.

On November 3, 1991, Ayrton Senna won the Australian Grand Prix, his sixth victory of the season and securing his Formula 1 World Championship title. Senna, who had been a TAG Heuer ambassador since 1988, reigned supreme at the pinnacle of motor racing, winning the World Championship in 1988 and 1989.

With the new TAG Heuer Formula 1 Ayrton Senna Special Edition timepiece, TAG Heuer evokes the memory of one of the most legendary racers in F1 history and reaffirms its partnership with the brand.

This chronograph was created to pay tribute to the legend of Ayrton Senna, and joins the TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection, demonstrating TAG Heuer's unwavering passion and commitment to motorsport competition. One of the timepiece's defining features is its embossed black leather bracelet, a nod to the S/el that Senna wore on his own TAG Heuer. This iconic bracelet is unique, with its distinctive S-shaped design. The leather bracelet features accent yellow stitching and a black steel clasp with double safety push-buttons.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Ayrton Senna Special Edition features Senna's signature colors of yellow and black. The double S (Senna's iconic brand name) adorns the bezel at 12 o'clock along with Senna's name, and is also featured in the subdial at 6 o'clock. The gray anthracite dial features classic hour, minute, and second counters at 6, 9, and 3 o'clock, with the "TAG Heuer Formula 1" inscription on the subdial at 6 o'clock.




The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Ayrton Senna Special Edition features a water-resistant black ceramic bezel. A delicate yellow edging adds an elegant touch to the timepiece. The bezel is engraved with the number "400," a subtle reference to the unbeaten speed of 400 km/h in Formula 1. To ensure optimal legibility in all conditions, the hour hand and scale are coated with Super-LumiNova®. This special edition is powered by a quartz movement and is water resistant to 200 metres (20 bar).


Finally, an image of Senna's iconic helmet is engraved on the caseback, alongside the specially engraved "SENNA SPECIAL EDITION" inscription.
