On the 18th, children's clothing manufacturer Fiss, a subsidiary of Sunwell, opened a directly managed select shop for men's, women's and miscellaneous goods called "Chimo" in Minami Horie, Osaka.
The store is a two-story street-level store facing Horie Park. The combined sales floor area on the first and second floors is approximately 66.6 m2. Products include men's, women's and miscellaneous goods from the store's original American casual-style brand "Go To Hollywood," as well as stocked products from other companies such as "Harry Harry," "Health," "Brunaboin," "Loopy Mango" and "Ortega." It's rare for a children's clothing manufacturer to operate a directly managed store selling only adult clothing, but Junpei Matsumoto, sales promotion manager for FIS's Sales Policy Department, said, "We offer several children's clothing brands, and we noticed that one of them, the 'Go to Hollywood' brand, sells well in larger junior sizes (140cm to 160cm). We analyzed the customer demographics and found that most of the purchases are from mothers with children. Now, 80% of the brand's sales are adult sizes, so we decided to open a directly managed store exclusively for adults." Because the brand's unique vision cannot be fully expressed through its own products alone, the company will also source from other companies. Regarding the future, Matsumoto said, "We don't have plans to rapidly increase the number of directly managed adult clothing stores like this one. By opening this shop, we want to strengthen our relationships with our loyal customers." The company plans to continue offering children's sizes (100-130cm).
