"mariez go" - a pop art piece that can be enjoyed by both children and adults [BASE @ Aosando Art Fair]

Oct 25, 2013

BASE, an online shopping service, will be exhibiting at the art event "Aosando Art Fair" (October 24th to 27th). Eight shops using the site will exhibit and sell their products on a rotating daily basis. The venue is the H.P.FRANCE Planning Office (GB 3F, 5-17-24 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). FASHION HEADLINE conducted email interviews with participating brands and shops. We will introduce them in relay format. This time, we will be introducing "mariez go," an illustration brand by Matsufuji Mari, which will be exhibiting on the 26th (Sat). What is the concept of the brand? The concept is to create products that are fun to look at for both children and adults. The brand features illustrations and pop art. What made you decide to sell the items you sell? It's because you want to make people's daily lives a little happier. What made you decide to set up a shop online? Of all the marketplace sites available, why did you choose BASE?
I had long wanted an e-commerce site that I could start at low cost, but it was difficult to find a simple and easy-to-use CMS. That's when I found BASE, and after seeing actual sites in use and its functions, I made an immediate decision. What appealed to me was the simple design, card payment function, and the fact that you can set it up by simply entering pre-defined text, making it easy even for beginners to understand and get started quickly. I went for a very simple shop design (lol).

--Finally, what do art, design, and fashion mean to you?
I believe they are things that enrich the soul and are necessary in the world.
