L'Occitane opens world's first men's floor in Shinjuku. E-commerce also available.

Oct 31, 2013

Lifestyle cosmetics brand L'OCCITANE will simultaneously open the world's first men's floor, L'OCCITANE HOMME, and its men's online store on November 1st.

L'OCCITANE HOMME will open on the 5th floor of its Shinjuku flagship store, Voyage en Provence (3-17-5 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo), which rotated on October 11th. The space has a completely new atmosphere from existing L'OCCITANE stores, with a calm wood-grain design that reflects L'OCCITANE HOMME's concept of "Voyage de Sens (A Journey of the Five Senses)." In addition to men's-only items, the store will also feature products that men can enjoy, and expert staff will be available for counseling at the bar counter. The entire floor can also be reserved as a "private salon" with advance reservations.

The online shop, which will be opening at the same time, is based on the concept of "combining the internet and the store" and will not only offer shopping and product information, but will also offer a "Web Magazine" with reading content for men and "HOMME TV" with talk content featuring celebrity guests, allowing customers to enjoy the world of L'Occitane Homme.

To commemorate the opening of the physical store and online shop, limited edition products will be available, including "Verdon Hand Cream," a men's hand cream from the popular men's "Verdon" series, which is scented with peppermint and citrus; "Cade," a full-fledged men's grooming series making its first appearance in Japan; and "L'Occitane" eau de toilette and soap, which combines the scent of lavender with pepper and nutmeg.
