"Funassyi Collection in Laforet" will be held at Laforet Harajuku from May 2nd to 18th, featuring limited edition items featuring Funassyi, the unofficial local mascot of Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture.

Funassyi, who is active in a wide range of fields, is interested in fashion, and requested a collaboration with Laforet Harajuku, which led to this collaboration. 14 brands within the mall will be releasing limited edition collaborative goods, including a Funassyi-printed T-shirt from LOWRYS FARM (3,800 yen), a mesh tank top from atmos girls (7,500 yen), tattoo stickers from BeautiK (1,000 yen), shorts from YUMMY MART (926 yen), and a tote bag from Maison de Julietta (1,800 yen). The campaign visuals were created by art director Yoshihiro Nishi, and 10 posters featuring Funassyi and fashion will be available. Button badges featuring the same visuals will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis to those who purchase limited-edition merchandise. Funassyi will visit Laforet at 1:00 PM on May 25th for a photo session with an Instax camera, which can be entered by lottery. Funassyi is a "pear fairy" who works independently and without any affiliation to a commercial or local government. He started using Twitter in November 2011, and the following year applied to participate in local PR events and summits, but was unsuccessful. He began uploading his own videos to YouTube and other platforms. In February 2013, he was selected to appear in an Asahi Jurokucha commercial, where his extraordinary jumping ability became a hot topic, sparking his popularity. He also released the official theme song, "Funa Funa Funassyi♪," and is currently active at events across the country.
