ISSEY MIYAKE released the "EB (Electronic Bag)" on April 1st, a bag made with electronic paper material developed in collaboration with Sony Fashion Entertainments. A special exhibition titled "EB," offering a visual introduction to the material and the bag's development process, is being held at ELTTOB TEP ISSEY MIYAKE / GINZA in Ginza, Tokyo, from now until the 27th. The bag, unveiled at the Paris Women's Collection Spring/Summer 2017 show in September 2016, is a futuristic bag whose pattern changes when held, revealing seven different patterns, including flashing and gradients. It is available in two colors: black and white. To coincide with the launch of "EB," an in-store exhibition is being held that visually explores the design process, from learning about the characteristics of the material itself to processing, exploring the direction of the design, concept studies, and turning ideas into finished bags. The exhibition will run until April 27th.
