Start Today will discontinue the barcode scanning feature of its fashion coordination service app "WEAR" on April 30th. From then on, the feature will be used as a customer service tool in stores and will be available only to shop staff.

In addition, the discontinuation of the barcode scanning feature will also mark the end of a trial shopping experience using barcode scanning in stores such as Parco.

Start Today CEO Yusaku Maezawa stated, "We have decided to discontinue the barcode scanning feature so that more brands and commercial facilities can use WEAR with confidence. We will continue to strive to provide an infrastructure service that will contribute to market expansion for the entire fashion industry."

WEAR has had 2 million downloads (as of April 3rd), 2.5 million monthly users (as of March), and 10,000 outfit posts per day.
