Coach and Rodarte's first-ever collaborative capsule collection, "Coach & Rodarte," will be released at the Opening Ceremony Omotesando store on April 20th. Celebrating the individuality and strong commitment to craftsmanship of both brands, the collection focuses on bags and ready-to-wear. Co-designed by Coach's Executive Creative Director Stuart Vevers and Rodarte's sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the collection features a decorative and romantic style that beautifully blends Coach's practical, effortless luxury with Rodarte's unpretentious, fantasy-inspired demi-couture. Coach's iconic glovetanned leather bags, pouches, biker jackets, and mini dresses are embellished with glamorous embellishments using Rodarte's signature appliqué technique, elevating them to an artistic look. Additionally, tote bags, sweatshirts, and T-shirts featuring Coach advertisements from the 1970s are revitalized with a modern, catchy slogan, "This is a Coach Bag," which struck a chord with the Mulleavy sisters. Regarding the collection, Stuart Vevers said, "Rodarte's conceptual approach to American style served as the perfect lens through which to reimagine Coach's nostalgic pieces. This mashup of our mutual influences resulted in a collection that is both romantic and cool." Kate and Laura Mulleavy commented, "We admire Coach's strong belief in American luxury and craftsmanship, its incredible archive, and the brand's long-standing legacy."
