Seiko Watch Corporation will release two mechanical models equipped with a GMT function from the <Grand Seiko> Sports Collection on November 6th at a suggested retail price of 638,000 yen (tax included).

The khaki dial model, inspired by the wilderness where untouched nature spreads, is combined with an orange GMT hand to create a tough, tool-like feel. The blue dial model, which expresses the colors of the ocean in deep indigo, is combined with a red GMT hand to create an active look. The hairline finish on the case and band brings out the elegant metallic luster of the stainless steel, combining the dynamism of a sports watch with a calmness suitable for everyday use around town.
With a GMT function, 20 bar water resistance for everyday use, a durable screw-lock crown, and a fine-adjustable triple-fold buckle, this watch is equipped with the specs you'd expect from a full-fledged sports watch, while its 40.5mm case diameter fits comfortably on the wrist.
9S mechanical movement, caliber "9S66" equipped with GMT function

The 9S66 used in this watch retains the basic performance of the 9S65, the automatic movement that represents the 9S mechanical, while adding GMT functionality. GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time, and is a function that allows an additional time to be displayed using a fourth 24-hour hand (GMT hand) in addition to the three hands (hour, minute, and second).
When adjusting the hour hand to local time and the GMT hand to Japan time, you can pull the crown out one position and operate only the hour hand without stopping the second hand, allowing you to set the time without affecting the accurate display of the minute and second hands.
