TRUNK (HOTEL), located in Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo, will have its grand opening on May 13th. This new type of hotel, featuring accommodation, bridal services, a restaurant, and a merchandise shop, is the brainchild of Take and Give Needs (CEO: Yoshitaka Nojiri), a pioneering company that created the house wedding market. It's also garnering attention as part of Shibuya's redevelopment project. TRUNK (HOTEL) is a unique hotel built around the concept of "socializing," which emphasizes "living true to yourself, comfortably and with a social purpose," focusing on five categories: "ENVIRONMENT," "LOCAL FIRST," "DIVERSITY," "HEALTH," and "CULTURE." This commitment is also evident on the exterior, where a large zelkova tree and other plants are planted throughout the hotel grounds, creating a space where architecture and vegetation blend in harmony. Each room features a unique artwork, and there are 15 rooms available, including single rooms (¥27,000), suites with terraces and dining kitchens (¥92,000-¥150,000), and a 140-square-meter terrace suite (¥570,000) that can accommodate up to 14 people. Each room has its own unique features, making it suitable for use not only for lodging but also for home parties, corporate training, and exhibitions. The hotel's logo, room interior, and amenities incorporate the "socializing" spirit, with all items, including loungewear, gowns, and shampoo, developed in collaboration with partner companies that share the TRUNK (HOTEL) concept. The TRUNK (HOTEL) concept is also evident in interior goods made from recycled materials, audio equipment such as video projectors and record players installed in suites and above, and "socialized bicycles" reconstructed from abandoned bicycle parts. Guests can relax in their rooms or rent bicycles to explore Shibuya.
The bridal facilities include a modern glass-walled chapel on the top floor and four banquet rooms of varying sizes: ONDEN (265 square meters), MORI (170 square meters), KEYAKI (145 square meters), and SORANIWA (140 square meters). In addition to wedding ceremonies and parties, it can also be used as an event venue, and the space can be freely transformed to suit the needs of its users.
