Miu Miu's new advertising campaign features girls heading out for a night out!

May 16, 2017

Miu Miu has unveiled its Fall 2017 advertising campaign, "ROOM 303," shot by emerging British photographer Alasdair McLellan. The campaign stars actress Jaime King and models Samantha Archibald, Iesha Hodges, and Lily Nova. As a metaphor for the fickleness of youth, the campaign explores the ephemerality of photography, a concept increasingly obscured by technological advances. The women weave a story of female friendship as they prepare for a night out. Set in a modern London hotel room, the scenario evokes youth and femininity: getting ready, sharing outfits, and swapping favorite items. It's as if the world is endless, moving between reality and the imaginary. In contrast to this hedonistic and luxurious setting, the dim lighting and nostalgic tones, reminiscent of selfies, complement the collection's complex color palette. Pre-Fall 2017 showcases Miuccia Prada's ever-present emphasis on decorative elements. From classic satin pumps to glittery wingtips, jeweled buckles, metal studs, and lustrous stones, everything sparkles in the camera flash. Cashmere cardigans and silk dresses are adorned with Cupid college patches and oversized emblems made from pearl buttons, creating a striking design that is bold and lively in its own right.
