Givenchy Creative Director Riccardo Tisci has unveiled his first limited-edition collection, "GIVENCHY ESSENTIALS," focusing on basic lines. The collection will be available for the first time worldwide at a pop-up store, open from September 7th to 13th, at The Stage on the first floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku and on the first floor of the men's building.
This limited-edition collection combines the elegance of the house, such as baby's breath prints that represent the four seasons of Japan, ruffle jackets, and bow tie blouses, with Riccardo's signature street and fashion sensibility, such as pearl studs, to create easy-to-wear pieces.
The pop-up store will also be the first to offer two new models of the popular new "Horizon" bag: the "Mini," perfect for crossbody wear, and the "Nano," a pochette-sized bag. More than 30 "Horizon" styles will be available in a wide range of sizes and colors, including a Japan-exclusive pink. The men's collection also features red as the main color, strongly expressing Ricardo's attachment to Japan. Red dots inspired by the rising sun (Hinomaru) are also used. Leather goods include bags and shoes with a striking, urban feel, featuring black and red as key colors. Items include a star-embellished backpack (¥204,120), leather skater shoes (¥81,000), and a leather pouch (¥102,600) emblazoned with the words "I FEEL LOVE JAPAN." Isetan-exclusive items will also be available, including a baby's breath-print backpack (¥153,360) and leather nightingale bags. A campaign video featuring 15 Japanese models was also created specifically for the early release in Japan.
