Announced at Tokyo Game Show 2016 by Anrealage, who created uniforms for PlayStation VR

Sep 15, 2016

ANREALAGE was in charge of creating the special costumes worn by PlayStation event attendants at the Tokyo Game Show 2016, a gaming festival running until September 18th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.

The costumes, worn by 160 male and female attendant staff, were designed with the PlayStation VR, which will be released on October 13th. The PlayStation VR is a gaming console equipped with a virtual reality (VR) system. When the VR headset is put on, a powerful 3D space appears, surrounding the player in 360 degrees. Combined with the company's unique 3D audio technology, players can enjoy an overwhelming sense of realism, as if they are truly immersed in the game world.

To match the concept of the PlayStation VR, ANREALAGE created costumes that blend the real and virtual worlds. By incorporating retroreflective material, the costume appears in the white and blue that symbolizes PlayStation in real life (to the naked eye), but when photographed with a camera flash, the iconic PlayStation triangle, circle, x, and square motifs emerge in the light.

Tokyo Game Show 2016 will be open to the public on September 17th and 18th, both from 10am to 5pm. The costume will also be used at PlayStation promotional events after Tokyo Game Show 2016.
