"Achromatic Pain Points," an exhibition of pressed flowers by flower artist Takuto Aikabe, is running through April 26th at Omotesando Rocket on the third floor of the Dojunkan building in Omotesando Hills. Based in Tokyo, Takuto Aikabe specializes in the preservation of living plants. Following his archival works "Paradise of Shadow" and "Withered Flowers," the exhibition will feature a video work expressing "Botanical Romance," a concept he values when using plants to create artworks, embodying the equality between humans and plants. At the same time, pressed flower and photographic works decaying in water will be on display and for sale, based on the theme of "Release from Karma," which refers to the breakaway from and establishment of color, a key element in capturing the life and death of plants. This exhibition allows visitors to enjoy a world expressed through pressed flowers, video, and photography.
