The Fukuoka branch of BOOK AND BED TOKYO, a bookstore and overnight stay, opened inside Fukuoka Parco on April 29th. This marks the chain's first Kyushu location and its first location in a fashion building.
BOOK AND BED TOKYO, a hostel run by real estate select shop R-STORE, which opened its first location in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, in 2016, offers the experience everyone has at least once: "Reading late into the night, your eyes get heavy, and before you know it, you've fallen asleep..." Its blissful experience of sleeping in a bed nestled among bookshelves has garnered worldwide attention.
Following locations in Ikebukuro and Kyoto, the new store, opening on the sixth floor of the new Fukuoka Parco building, features interior design by Toshiya Maekawa of the architectural design firm Maf, with the book selection handled by Fukuoka bookstore Books Kubrick. Reservations can be made on the website (http://bookandbedtokyo.com), and a "Daytime Plan" will also be available from April 30th, which will allow guests to enjoy "BOOK AND BED TOKYO" even if they are not staying overnight.

In addition, guests can rent a limited number of original Fukuoka pajamas designed by NOWHAW, a pajama brand that sold out in advance on the web.
