Marunouchi House, the dining zone on the 7th floor of Shin-Maru Building in Tokyo, will host a music and art exhibition by musician Towa Tei, titled "TOWA TEI THINKS PRETTY THINGS," from September 8th to 28th. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of his solo career in 1994, Towa released his self-selected best-of trilogy album "94-14" on September 3rd. This exhibition will feature music and art from past to present that cannot be fully conveyed through albums alone. The library will feature art created in collaboration with Hiro Sugiyama, while the Great Hall will display Towa Tei's discography and artwork. A pop-up shop in the Great Hall will offer limited-edition CDs, books, and art created in collaboration with creator Hiro Sugiyama. Collaboration items are also available, including bags from kolor, speakers from pioneer, shirts and totes from SOPHNET., work caps from CA4LA, and towels from Imabari Towel.
From 9:00 PM to midnight on the 12th, an entrance-free event will be held to celebrate Towa Tei's 20th anniversary and 50th birthday. Participants include Shinichi Osawa and Hidefumi Ino.
Towa Tei made his solo debut in 1994 with "Future Listening!" In addition to producing music and composing music for films and commercials, he is also active as an artist, and held his first solo exhibition in 2012.
