The latest release, the Big Bang Unico Berluti Aluminio, features the beautiful gray hue expressed by both Maisons. It is a magnificent timepiece that combines Hublot's signature Big Bang Unico with burnished Aluminio Venezia leather, which is dyed using Berluti's exclusive patina dyeing technique. It is available in two models: one limited to 100 pieces worldwide and one limited to 50 pieces in Japan. The Japan-exclusive model features Berluti's iconic Scritto on the strap.
Burnished Venezia leather is used for the polished titanium bezel and dial, with the indexes and "Swiss Made" inscription embossed directly into the leather surface of the dial. The leather dial, sandwiched between two sapphire crystals, offers a view of the mechanism of the "Unico" chronograph movement, developed and manufactured in-house, which offers a power reserve of approximately three days and a flyback function.
For this model, Hublot has developed a new two-part bezel design. The first part of the bezel (made from leather, approximately 1 mm thick) is inserted into the second part (made from grey titanium) using an adhesive curing resin, which is then screwed to the case.
The 44 mm case and buckle are made of titanium, the central horn is made of resin, the oscillating weight is made of tungsten, and the hands are made of satin-finished rhodium. It is precisely because Hublot has developed groundbreaking watches using a variety of materials that it was able to create a Big Bang that is worthy of the nuances of Berluti's burnished leather.
