In collaboration with artist Nicolas Buffe, Comme des Garçons SHIRT is exhibiting installations by Nicolas Buffe at major Comme des Garçons stores. In addition to the Aoyama and Isetan Men's stores where the installations are already on display, from September 12th, his three-dimensional works can also be seen at major stores such as Dover Street Market Ginza, Marunouchi, Kyoto, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
A special edition T-shirt (12,000 yen) from his solo exhibition "Poliphilo's Dream," held at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art from April to June this year, will also be on sale at the installation store.
Nicolas Buffe was born in Paris, France in 1978, and currently lives and works in Tokyo. Growing up influenced by Japanese and American manga, anime, and games, Buffe became fascinated by the live-action special effects series "Space Sheriff Gavan," which he saw broadcast on television in Paris as a child, and learned that it was a television program produced in Japan, which strongly piqued his interest in Japan.
