Hermès has launched a new website, "Maison des Carrés," dedicated to its silk items.
This first virtual maison (home), created by illustrator Pierre Marie, who has worked on Hermès' silk designs, features rooms as diverse as the brand's carrés, including an attic, home theater, kitchen, and bedroom, and is meticulously designed down to the smallest detail, including the furniture.
The site introduces over 600 types of carrés, twillies, and stoles, and visitors can enjoy tying instructions, videos, and images uploaded to the brand's Instagram account. Smart shopping is just a few clicks away. The website can be accessed from any device, including computers, tablets, and smartphones, from anywhere in the world.
Bali Barret, Artistic Director of Hermès' women's department, commented, "As an online boutique with a rich collection and as a space (site) that is constantly changing, Maison des Carrés freely tells the story of Hermès silk."
A special opening video and Instagram account have also been released. A Maison des Carrés pop-up shop is also open at Paris's Charles de Gaulle Airport for a limited time until September 25th.
