Louis Vuitton has chosen Shiga's Miho Museum as the venue for its 2018 Cruise Collection show.

Apr 26, 2017

Louis Vuitton will hold its 2018 Cruise Collection show on May 14th at the Miho Museum (300 Tashiro, Shigaraki-cho, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture).

Since its first show in Monaco in 2014, Louis Vuitton has held its Cruise Collection shows around the world. This time, the brand has chosen Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, Japan, as the venue. The Miho Museum was designed by I.M. Pei, the architect behind the Grand Louvre and the Glass Pyramid in Paris.

Inspired by the legendary paradise "Shangri-La," and conceived as a paradise on earth, this will be the first time the museum has hosted a fashion show. Located deep in the mountains and accessible via a spectacular metal tunnel and futuristic suspension bridge, the museum houses over 2,000 artworks and blends exoticism with modernity. The fashion show will also be streamed live online on louisvuitton.com on the same day.
