On the evening of September 26th, the Shinjuku Isetan store will host the jazz music event "MODE & JAZZ NIGHT." The main stage, set up in a special venue on the third floor of the main building, will feature a live performance by "tres-men," a group formed in 2011 by Takahiro "matzz" Matsuoka, a percussionist and DJ active both domestically and internationally, including the jazz quartet "quasimode," who has previously performed at rock festivals around the country, including Blue Note; Kijiro Sakurai, a DJ who has organized numerous big parties mainly in Tokyo and Osaka; and Yusuke Nakamura, keyboardist and composer for "BLU-SWING." "tres-men" is a musical unit that pursues dance music that fuses jazz, soul, Latin, rock, and electro, paying homage to club anthems. Other planned events include dance performances by IZM, leader of the dance and creative artist group STAX GROOVE, and the dance team BROKENSPORT. Egg-shaped maracas, known as "egg shakers," will be available for the live performance, creating a participatory event where everyone can enjoy a jam session together. Sparkling wine, cocktails, soft drinks, and more will also be available at the venue starting at 8 PM, limited to 200 people. Registration for the event begins at 7 PM. Fashion Headline will be selecting 80 pairs (160 people) of email newsletter subscribers to attend this night event via lottery. The application deadline is noon on September 19th. Winners will be notified by email on September 22nd.
