The Do-Over Tokyo presented by adidas Originals, a free outdoor party hosted by adidas Originals, will be held on September 14th at the Harumi Passenger Terminal outdoor plaza overlooking Tokyo Bay.
The Do-Over, which first began in Los Angeles in 2005, has been held in Tokyo and Osaka since 2011, but this year's event will be the largest yet. Admission is completely free (pre-registration required), and there will be plenty of food and drink booths, including the brand's signature sangria. As in previous years, the "mystery guest" DJ will not be announced in advance, so you won't know who will be performing until you arrive.
The Do-Over first began in 2005 in the backyard of a small restaurant bar in Hollywood. Held free on Sunday afternoons, when club events were almost nonexistent, it gained a following among local partygoers. Utilizing the connections of two resident DJs, Haycock and Jamie Strong, big names such as Jazzy Jeff and J.Rocc have appeared at the festival, which is expanding globally, with events in Brazil in June and London and Amsterdam in August.
