From September 3rd to 9th, CARVEN will open a limited-time shop at Center Park/The Stage on the third floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku.
The shop will feature graffiti prints from the brand's 2014-2015 Autumn/Winter collection. Items such as sweatshirts (32,000 yen) and blouses (54,000 yen), which will be available exclusively at the store, are dotted with various graffiti designs, including hearts, airplanes, and women's faces.
Carven will also be launching its first kids' collection, which will be sold exclusively at the department store.
The kids' collection comes in three sizes: 6, 8, and 10 years old. Like the adult versions, items such as shirts (25,000 yen), cut-and-sew tops (16,000 yen), and skirts (16,000 yen) feature unique graffiti designs. They are finished in the same style as the adult versions.
During the campaign period, anyone who spends over 30,000 yen will receive a free tote bag with a doodle print. Additionally, those who purchase the Kids Collection will receive "Fabric Drawing Crayons," sold overseas by stationery manufacturer Pentel. These crayons are designed to be ironed onto clothing after drawing, to make them stick.
The patterns on the tote bags are intentionally kept understated. The aim is for parents and children to shop together to receive both novelty items, and then use the crayons to draw in the empty space on the tote bag to create a one-of-a-kind bag. Both the tote bags and crayons are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with around 100 of each planned.
