Food and tableware are beautifully presented on the table. Main dishes, side dishes, soups, and other dishes are coordinated while considering the color and balance of the ingredients. It's similar to the feeling you get when choosing clothes in front of a mirror. Just like your closet, you'll want to keep your favorite tableware in your cupboards to brighten up your daily meals. This time, we'll introduce some recommended shops where you can find special tableware that will make cooking even more enjoyable.

Arita, Saga Prefecture, the birthplace of Arita ware, is said to be where the first ceramics in Japan were made in 1616 by the founder of ceramics, Yi San-pyeong. "1616/arita japan" was named to evoke memories of that time, 400 years ago. The brand's creative director, Teruhiro Yanagihara, has breathed new life into the history of Arita ware. These are pure white dishes with simple forms that differ from the traditional image of painted Arita ware. The appealing price tag, starting from under 1,000 yen, makes the tableware accessible and appealing, allowing customers to use it daily as part of the Arita ware brand.

This time, we would like to introduce the brand's collections, "1616/TY Standard" and "1616/S&B 'Coloe Porcelain'".

--1616/TY Standard--
The 1616/arita japan standard series was designed by Teruhiro Yanagihara, who is also the brand's director. The tableware, which is mainly made up of square and round shapes, can be used to present a variety of dishes, just like a canvas.

One of the most popular designs is "TY Palace," which is inspired by chrysanthemum flowers. As the name suggests, this piece was created to commemorate the renovation of the Palace Hotel Tokyo. In addition to food, it also seems to go well with Japanese sweets, cakes, and fruit.

--1616/S&B“Coloe Porcelain"--
The “Coloe Porcelain” series is the work of Dutch designer husband and wife team Scholten & Baijings. The modern, highly functional form reflects the distinctive use of Arita color. The pale, bold colors are very distinctive.

This series is so much fun to choose from as you imagine what you'll put on this plate. It would also go well with a lush arugula and olive salad, or a meat dish. It will brighten up your table and make it perfect for inviting friends over for a meal.

The Palace Hotel Tokyo is the only store that carries the 1616/arita Japan series.
This series, which appears standard but has a very strong presence, brings out the flavor of ingredients and is easy to pair with any style of cuisine, making it a recommended gift.
