The 29th T-Shirt Art Exhibition will be held at the Kuroshio Beach Museum in Kochi Prefecture from May 3rd to 8th. The museum is located on a pristine, four-kilometer stretch of sandy beach, with no buildings. The museum's permanent exhibits capture the rich natural scenery and the changing seasons, including a blue sky ceiling, a Bryde's whale swimming offshore, a beautiful pine grove along the beach, and driftwood washed up on the shore. The 29th T-Shirt Art Exhibition will feature T-shirts submitted by the public from across Japan. This event features designs submitted by children in Kuroshio Town and Belize in Central America, as well as from Toyama, Arita, Tokoname, and other areas. During the exhibition, "beachside shops" will be set up on both sides of the path leading to the beach and on the lawn. Shops selling delicious food and miscellaneous goods from Kuroshio Town and the surrounding area will be lined up like a festival. Additionally, the "Moonlit Film Festival" will be held from 7pm on the 5th and 6th, where you can enjoy the sounds of the waves, the wind, and the natural atmosphere while watching films like "The Intouchables." Furthermore, "whale watching" (6,000 yen for adults, 3,500 yen for elementary school students, 1,000 yen for infants), where you can meet Bryde's whales, the museum's director, departs at 8am, 10am, and 12pm daily, offering a 360-degree view of Tosa Bay. There are also various events to enjoy on the beach, such as marathons and flip-flop tossing contests.
