Takashi Murakami's latest posters will be available for purchase worldwide on February 17th at the Personal Room/Promotion on the 5th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building.
Takashi Murakami's "Takashi Murakami: The 500 Arhats" exhibition is currently running at the Mori Art Museum until March 6th. This is Murakami's first large-scale solo exhibition in Japan in 14 years, and has attracted significant attention both domestically and internationally, with over 200,000 visitors in just over three months since its opening.
This limited-edition release features 11 new posters (products will be delivered six months later). Details on sales are available on the official Isetan Shinjuku website (http://i.isetan.co.jp/shinjuku/news/2016/02/isetan-meets-bar-zingaro-17.html).
In conjunction with the poster sales, original merchandise from "Bar Zingaro," a cafe produced by Kaikai Kiki, led by Murakami, will also be available for pre-sale. The lineup consists of four items: "Original Masking Tape" (3 types, 600 yen each), "MOLESKINE Notebook" (3,500 yen), "BIC Ballpoint Pen" (2 types, 350 yen each), and "LIFE Noble Memo" (700 yen), making this a valuable collection that is not even available at the current exhibition.
In addition, for a limited time from February 17th to March 1st, "Bar Zingaro" will open in the Kitchen Dining Decor area on the 5th floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku. The cafe, with the theme of "living with coffee and art," will serve freshly ground coffee (667 yen per cup) by a barista, and will also sell "Bar Zingaro x Kalita Logo Coffee Dripper" (3,000 yen) and "Tim Wendelboe Coffee Beans" (3,241 yen).
