MUVEIL will be holding an event to unveil its new wedding dresses from February 26th to 28th at its flagship store, GALLERY MUVEIL, in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo. MUVEIL's wedding dresses feature simple designs inspired by garden weddings and restaurant weddings. They are designed to be worn not only as wedding dresses but also at casual parties and wedding anniversary celebrations. Three new wedding dresses will be unveiled at the event. This includes a dress set consisting of pants, a camisole, and tulle lace, as well as two dresses remade from Fred Perry knitwear. The "Silk Long Pleated Dress" (¥200,000), introduced in the 2015 Pre-Fall Collection, will also be on display, available for try-on and reservation. This mini dress features an ostrich motif and features a pleated back and a slightly longer hem. It can be worn in two ways; removing the ostrich motif top transforms it into a simple sleeveless dress. In addition to wedding dresses, the event will also sell wedding charms and dolls, which are exclusive to GALLERY MUVEIL. The charms and dolls will have the couple's names embroidered on the pants underneath the bride's dress and on the back of the groom's suit.
The event will also feature items from FOR flowers of romance, a brand by Okano Takashi, one of designer Nakayama Michiko's favorite designers. Items include a tiara decorated with a string of small lilies of the valley, a wedding dress with a lily of the valley-themed corsage, and an adorable dress adorned with lots of poppies. A black dress will also be on sale and available for pre-order. To commemorate the event, a limited number of grandmother charms wearing black dresses will also be on sale.
