Kobi Levi continues to create unique yet captivating designs. A shoe designer from Tel Aviv, Israel, he creates unique and adorable high heels in his studio. His designs, which include animals, food, and musical instruments, often look so realistic you might wonder if they're actually wearable—but of course they are.
After studying design at university, Kobi began working as a freelance designer. He currently works at a shoe shop in Israel, where he designs the shoes they carry. He designs unique high heels alongside his day job, and initially only posted them on his blog. The turning point came with an email from a fashion director who wanted to use his high heels in a music video he was producing. To his surprise, the video turned out to be for Lady Gaga's song "Born This Way." Kobi couldn't believe his high heels would actually be used, so he sent them over, skeptical, but when he saw them in the video, he couldn't hide his amazement. This sparked a flood of inquiries from around the world. Koby has decided to open his own studio and start selling his shoes.
In his completed studio, Koby handles everything from product design to production himself. The price of a pair is set at around 100,000 to 200,000 yen, but he says he makes almost no profit. Shipping is also free anywhere in the world. He plans to make more affordable shoes in the future, and new releases can be found on his website.
