On January 25th, Alexis Mabile held his Spring/Summer 2016 Haute Couture show in the hall of the 17th-century Hôtel d'Evreux on Place Vendôme. The collection, titled "Timeless Beauties," featured a chic, classic style dominated by monochrome colors. Models from previous generations, including Audrey Marnay, Debra Shaw, Estelle Hallyday, Kalman Cass, and Irina Lazarne, added a touch of timeless beauty to the show. While some pieces, such as a frock coat embroidered with ostrich feathers, a lace patchwork shirt dress, and a kimono-like smoking dress, had masculine elements, many pieces featured feminine materials like Chantilly lace and guipure lace, creating a collection that was both appropriately classic and appropriately modern. Not only beads and sequins, but even porcelain appeared as embroidery materials, but the look was kept in similar colours, giving it a clean impression.
Aside from provocative items such as see-through long dresses made entirely of lace, there was a wide range of simple, accessible items that exuded elegance, which is likely to gain support from a wide range of generations in the future.
