Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer has announced the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02 Japan Black Edition.

Since the 1960s, the TAG Heuer Carrera collection has had a clear connection to the thrilling world of motor racing, and has spawned a number of legendary watches inspired by Jack Heuer's visionary designs. Now, the popular TAG Heuer Carrera Sport Chronograph, launched in 2020, has been given a bold new lease of life, transformed into an all-black statement piece with a 44mm DLC-treated stainless steel case and dial.

Limited to 300 pieces, this new, exclusive model perfectly captures the action and elegance that are part of TAG Heuer's DNA. The chic alligator strap in Phantom Black is a luxurious touch that seamlessly complements the sporty spirit. The dial features the brand's signature faceted indexes and hands, plated in black gold, while the circular-brushed and azure-finished chronograph counters add even more depth and sophistication.


The sapphire crystal case back, specially crafted for this model, is inspired by "moegiiro," a traditional Japanese color that has been used in kimonos since the Heian period. The striking green color, which only appears when the watch is removed, is particularly striking. Only 300 pieces are available in Japan, each engraved with "SPECIAL EDITION JAPAN" and "ONE OF 300." This bold, modern watch also comes in special packaging coordinated with the green case back.

The watch is powered by the Calibre Heuer 02, a cutting-edge automatic chronograph movement produced at TAG Heuer's Manufacture in Chevenez, Switzerland. This movement, comprised of 168 components including a column wheel and vertical clutch, delivers exceptional chronograph timing performance. The watch boasts a power reserve of approximately 80 hours.
