NUMBER TWENTY-ONE, the private brand of Isetan Mitsukoshi, has collaborated with one of Japan's leading fashion brands. Combining the high design sense of Tokyo creators with Japanese technical expertise, they have created a pair of shoes that will take on the world. This time, we will introduce four brands from the spring/summer collaboration.
[FACETASM x NUMBER TWENTY-ONE]
These shoes are a collaboration with FACETASM, created by designer Hiromichi Ochiai. With the theme of the season being "ambiguous self-exploration," they have broken down what already exists in the world and added a single idea to elevate it to a new sensation. The design process, which featured in the 2016 Spring/Summer Tokyo Collection, with tied ribbons and layered designs resembling patchwork, has been applied to the shoes, resulting in shoes that are full of design while retaining the same worldview.

(Left) A traditional shoe made of black leather with a vibrant blue tassel. The parts are tied together with ribbons, creating a complex design that is typical of Facetasm. Shoes / 44,000 yen, (Center) Cork-like footbed sandals. The vibrantly colored piping makes an impression. Available in six colors. Sandals / 29,000 yen, (Right) A pair of espadrilles made of grey leather with a fluffy grid pattern, a pattern that was also prominent in the collection. Shoes / 29,000 yen
【CHINO x No. 21】
CHINO (CINOH) is a brand started by designer Kayano Takanori. Based on the philosophy of "creating items that not only exist for a moment, but become part of your wardrobe and become memorable," the brand expresses the free-spirited Tokyo street style.

The collaboration shoes feature a spring-like white sneaker. The leather upper and low rubber sole create a mature look. In keeping with Chino's philosophy, they are incorporated into adult, real clothing. Sneakers / 27,000 yen
【IN-PROCESS x No. 21】
IN-PROCESS specializes in playful and expressive prints and textiles, such as unique illustrations, collages, and worldviews expressed through color. This collaboration features a symbolic design that is characteristic of IN-PROCESS.

These collaboration shoes feature a vibrant green colorway accented with a giraffe pattern. The cord that ties around the instep makes them easy to coordinate with traditional styles. Shoes / 38,000 yen
【LOKITHO x No. 21】
Under the theme of "clothing for spiritually mature women," LOKITHO aims to create an elegant collection utilizing Japanese techniques. Here we introduce two pairs of collaborative shoes with different styles.

(Left) Flat sandals with lace-up detailing and a zipper at the front. The thick sole makes them suitable for both formal and casual wear. Sandals / 27,000 yen, (Right) Pumps with fringed ankle straps. The swaying fringe accentuates your feet with every step. The navy and black two-tone color scheme creates a luxurious impression. Pumps / 29,000 yen
