The first retrospective of goldfish painter Ryusuke Fukahori, "Goldfish Farm - Beyond the Scales," will be held at Seibu Shibuya from May 11th to 29th. Ryusuke Fukahori is an artist who creates his works using an original technique: pouring resin into a vessel and then painting goldfish directly onto it. In 2007, he opened his studio, "Goldfish Farm (R)," in Yokohama. In 2011, he held a solo exhibition, "Goldfish Farm," at Seibu Shibuya. Since then, he has held solo exhibitions around the world, including in New York, London, and Munich. This exhibition will feature over 50 pieces, ranging from his early masu (wooden box) works to his new chests of drawers. In addition to the debut of his new "Scale Series," the exhibition will also feature resin works depicting goldfish swimming in vessels by artists such as Emile Gallé and the Daum Brothers, which will be on public display for the first time. A recreation of his studio will also be featured within the exhibition. He will also be holding a public workshop from 2pm to 5pm on May 14th and 15th.

The merchandise corner will sell fans, mugs, postcards and other items produced by him. Seven T-shirts exclusive to Seibu Shibuya will also be available, and goldfish-themed decorations are planned for the Seibu Shibuya store.
