Stella McCartney has announced the latest addition to its styling series, "Double Act."
"Double Act" follows on from its "One City, One Girl" series, which focuses on one city around the world and features a woman living there to introduce Stella McCartney's latest collection. Each installment features a different person showcasing new items and styling.
This time, the series features Greta & Cosima Bellamacina, the cutting-edge creative duo consisting of Greta, a poet whose work primarily focuses on heartbreak and feminism, and Cosima, an artist currently working on children's book illustrations. The duo will showcase their unique styling using the Summer 2016 ready-to-wear collection and the new eyewear collection. Greta has also written a poem, "The Retirement of Bees," specifically for this series. Greta says of herself, "We were born in London and grew up near Hampstead Heath. I still find the wildness of Hampstead Heath magical. As a poet, the way people interact with landscapes and scenery is very important to me. I also work as a filmmaker, and last year I made a short film called 'Ezra Pound: The Last Cantos' featuring Ezra Pound's 90-year-old daughter, poet and translator Mary de Rachewiltz." Cosima says, "I love to create. I believe there are endless magical opportunities that each of us can create. In my spare time, I paint, and I'm always dreaming up new subjects and subjects. I'm currently working on a children's book and completing a degree in art history in London."
When asked about her favorite look from the shoot, Greda commented, "A mod style pairing of a black and white checked polo shirt and skirt. I love that it's wearable anytime and feels strong." Cosima said, "My favorite was the navy jumpsuit, which combines functionality and femininity."
